KEYNOTE SPEAKER

Ms Ng On Yee BBS MH

Ng On Yee is Hong Kong Professional Ladies’ Snooker Player, World Ladies Billiards and Snooker (WLBS)
reigning World Champion and World No. 1.

Ng was born and raised in Hong Kong. She started to play snooker at the age of 13 and was first taught by
her dad Ng Yam Shui. At the age of 18, On Yee won the women’s title of the Individual Billiards & Snooker
Federation (IBSF) World Snooker Championship as an amateur player, making her the first Hong Kong
female player to have won this title.

She is the first Asian woman to top the WLBS rankings after winning against long-time number one Reanne
Evans in February in 2018. Overall, Ng has 16 ranking event titles to her name, including four UK and two
Masters titles, making her the most successful player of her generation.

In March 2021, it was announced that she would turn professional from the start of the 2021/22 season,
receiving a two-year professional tour card after the World Women’s Snooker Tour became an official WST
qualifying tour.

Other achievements under her belt include Forbes 30 under 30 Asia in Sports and Entertainment in 2018. In
2017 Ng received The Bronze Bauhinia Star, in 2011 she received The Medal of Honour, in 2009, 2012-2017
the Hong Kong Sports Stars Awards, and also Best of the Best in 2015 and 2017.
