MESSAGE FROM GUEST OF HONOUR

My warmest congratulations to everyone in Rotary International District 3450 on the occasion of your 62nd
District Conference.
At this challenging time for our community, Rotary and Rotarians are an inspiration to us all, reminding us
of the pleasures of friendship, but also of the vital importance of reaching out to help those most in need.
No less impressive is the internationalism of the Rotary movement, bringing like-minded professionals
together across borders and cultures to work for the common good. In times like the present, it is more
important than ever to keep open the channels of communication and to keep focused on the values that
matter to us all.
With this in mind, the theme of this year’s conference - Serve to Change Lives – could not be more
appropriate. Indeed it resonates very strongly with The Hong Kong Jockey Club, which is itself dedicated to
the betterment of our society.
With my best wishes to all of you for a most successful conference.
