INTRODUCTION OF ROTARY INTERNATIONAL PRESIDENT’S PERSONAL REPRESENTATIVE

Rotary International Director-nominee Ghim Bok Chew

Ghim Bok graduated in 1981 with an Honours Degree in Computer Science from the University of Liverpool (UK).
Ghim Bok is a serial entrepreneur and has nearly 40 years of wide and diverse business experience ranging from
IT to fund management and food processing.
He started his career in the Telecommunication Authority of Singapore. After 2 years as a system analyst, Ghim
Bok’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to start his own company – ProData Computer Systems in 1983, which he
developed into one of the largest privately owned system integrators in Singapore. In 2000, he sold ProData to the
Jardine Matheson Group, and became Jardine Onesolution.
Until 2014, Ghim Bok was the Chief Executive Director of Elite KSB Holdings Limited, a leading food processing
company listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange. In 2014, he sold all the operating subsidiaries to Leong Hup
Holdings Limited, a company listed on KL Bursa Stock Exchange. His other business interests include founding an
investment company GB Ventures Pte Ltd. He co-founded SkyVen Capital Pte Limited, a venture capital company
in 2000 and is currently its Executive Director.
Ghim Bok has been a Rotarian since1996. He has served as Club President, District Governor for District 3310,
covering Malaysia, Brunei and Singapore. He is currently the Rotary Coordinator for Zone 10C, covering Brunei,
Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore. He has been elected to serve as Rotary International Director 2023-25.

For his contribution to Rotary and world community, he was bestowed Rotary highest award, Service above Self
Award in 2017.

In 2017, he led a team to win the right for Singapore to host the Rotary International Convention in 2024 where
more than 30,000 overseas delegates are expected to attend.

Besides Rotary, Ghim Bok is an active local volunteer. He has served nearly 30 years as a grassroots leader.
During this period, he served 9 year as South West District Councillor. He is currently the Chairman of Bukit
Gombak Citizens’ Consultative Committee and Chairman of Chua Chu Kang Town Council Finance Committee.
He also holds many other civic and VWO appointments. For his contributions to the local communities, Ghim Bok
was awarded the Public Service Award Medal, and Public Service Star Medal, by the President of Republic of
Singapore in 2005 and 2012 respectively. In 2015 he was appointed as the Justice of the Peace by the President
of Republic of Singapore.

In 2021, he was appointed the Honorary Counsel for Republic of Slovakia in Singapore.
