Dr Bernard Cheng

Dr Bernard Cheng has over 15 years of international business experience in corporate
sustainability strategic planning and developing projects. He has worked in Integrated
Resorts, hospitality, engineering consulting, telecommunication, energy, education, public
sector and retail sector as well as in NGOs. He has developed sustainability strategic and
business plans, and ran sustainability projects and campaigns within complex organization
structures. He helped to set SJM and MGM’s sustainability direction, managed technical
and social projects and promoted sustainability concepts to the public as well as to staff to
raise awareness.

His PhD, from the Auckland University of Technology, is in the measurement of sustainability performance and
exploring management tools to improve it. His MSc is in Energy Conservation and the Environment and he also
holds an MBA, both from the UK.
